Something I never anticipated when telling those I love about my illness was their response. A close friend recommended I "don't watch themovie," this statement got me thinking why I shouldn't be watching a film about cancer patients. Surely, I should be their target audience? Reflecting on the comment made me realise that cancer will change my entire life. I jumped over a fence which others can't. I wish for no one to jump over this fence. The fence changes your whole being, not just your physical health but mental health, personality, self-worth and relationships.Cancer affects relationships, especially romantic relationships. Period.
