Millions got on board the GoT ship just last year out of FOMO and unsubscribed the minute the series ended. That's hardly HBO audience, so it's not THAT much of a loss to the network.

Part of that is the switch to HBO MAX. it is very hard to get now if you don’t have a newer TV. Many of the ways to watch it (ex. Tivo) don’t carry it. I can only watch on the computer now. HBO screwed itself.
