Roth was determined to woo Berlanti back, and he did. Since Berlanti came back to WBTV, he became the most prolific producer in television, breaking multiple times the all-time record for most series on television at the same time. Berlanti also built an expansive DC universe that spans linear TV and streaming.

Other top talent that Roth has been responsible for signing exclusive overall deals with include J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath’s Bad Robot Productions, Ava DuVernay, John Wells, Damon Lindelof, Mindy Kaling, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Elizabeth Banks, Bruno Heller, Michael Patrick King, Steve Molaro, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Bill Lawrence, Bryan Cranston, David Nutter, Rob Thomas, Matt Miller, and Robert Zemeckis, among others.

Roth joined the company in March 1999 as President, Warner Bros. Television. As he kept climbing the corporate ladder, he remained hands-on involved in the creative process. During his more than two decades atop the studio’s television production business, 32 scripted primetime series reached the 100-episode milestone.

Of all the studio execs I ever worked for/under, Peter is the only one in my experience, who ever invited the cast to his home. A great guy, and great boss. A loss to the WB.
