lan Arkin met his guru on a Hollywood film set in 1969. Arkin was the star and John was his stand-in, a lowly factotum, the id to his ego. At the time, Arkin was successful but unsatisfied, looking for meaning, craving some guidance. His encounter with John set him on a path towards enlightenment that continues to this day. As for the guru, he took a different, darker route.
Dont be jealous folks..he had money fame..cool Make.yours..
He was great as Yossarian in Nichol’s erratic but still impressive version of Catch 22.
Kinda sick of these 'I made millions but I was unfulfilled' stories, insulting to people with real lives and real problems. Having said that, the In-laws is absolutely BRILLIANT.
Money was good..cheer up
It’s Father-In-Law Christmas 🙌🏻
One of my all time fav actors!! Love him ❤️
he however made a lot of people happy
Great actor. `The Russians are Coming` with Marie Saint who reminds of Susan Oliver. Sweet photo of me age 20s with Arkin `American Girl` magazine......
You never chose many upbeat roles.
I'm glad he's found peace - as he's made a lot of movie fans very happy! Gattaca and Rocketeer are two of my favourite films of all time. Very different films but both are absolute gems.
He still looks miserable.
Alan the public noticed, that was why the pubic enjoyed your acting...saw self in your acting.
He kinda seemed miserable all the time. Just saying.
If you were miserable making the movies Alan, think how we felt watching them.
