injiduducu WomensBudgetGrp I expect you'll get a trans woman in for 'balance' 😂😂 Sorry, but now Jenni's gone no one trusts you.

OnjaliRauf Great photo 🌸

OnjaliRauf Good to see that there is more common sense shown by the listeners than the presenter!

TeachFirst OnjaliRauf missboothman Rudyard Kipling, John Milton, William Blake, TS Eliot. Have you read any of them? Shameful pandering to the fake diversity agenda!!

TeachFirst OnjaliRauf missboothman London does not represent the whole country.

TeachFirst OnjaliRauf missboothman What a surprise! Yet another item on diversity by this race obsessed BBC! Did we need to hear it? Why do we pay a licence fee?

OnjaliRauf Grovellingly abject apology for when a guest of that ethnicity used the word p**i. Completely ridiculous but so typical of the BBC and its attitudes these days. How about an apology for this crazy apology!!

OnjaliRauf The interviewer asked the author if she herself had been bullied. She replied she had, including racist abuse and being called a 'Paki'. Then incredibly the interviewer apologised for use of the word. This is nuts. If you don't want a straight answer don't ask 1/2

OnjaliRauf Loved hearing OnjaliRauf speak but was mortified by the apology for HER use of the word 'paki' in relation to her own experience. Unnecessary and absurd in my mind. Passionate about the BBC but this was ridiculous..

OnjaliRauf What I can’t believe is the PC woman’s hour apology for having the pejorative “Pakki” terms used during the program, when it was the girl who was on the receiving end of is using the term. Only white-woke radio 4 listeners could be offended. Pitiful!

OnjaliRauf Lovely to listen to you Onjali. Unsure why the presenter felt the need to apologise for your use of the word ‘Paki’. You have every right to use it when describing the racist bullying you were subjected to

OnjaliRauf Loved listening to Sangita this morning. Her tone and interviewing style was really balanced with the right amount of inquiry delivered in a very empathetic way, really hope we will hear her again on Women's hour as very refreshing!

OnjaliRauf Felt uncomfortable hearing the presenter apologise on the guest's behalf for use of the word 'Paki'. The context in which Rauf quoted the word confirms its unacceptability - it was used against her as part of bullying - and I don't think this needs to be censored.

OnjaliRauf Good to hear your interview Onjali and the inspiration for your latest book on the bully/homeless person's story. Congrats on tackling another 'big' issue. P.S. me too, being called a 'Paki' back in the day was what it was, sadly, daily life. A lot worse labels out there now....

OnjaliRauf It doesn't seem right to me to apologise FOR what someone ELSE says. Don't we stand or fall by our own actions?

OnjaliRauf Sounds like an interesting concept 👍

OnjaliRauf So sad to hear falling over itself to apologise for a racist name a guest said she was called. Now asking said guest about her 'lived experience'! She just told you!

OnjaliRauf Having listened to the start of this interview it was disappointing that an apology was made for the author reflecting on her own experiences. This was not necessary and in many ways seems to (albeit inadvertently) perpetuate the bullying she was subject to.

OnjaliRauf Awful decision to apologise for use of the p-word when somebody is telling about their own lived experience of racism. We should hear the experience in full, and it should make us uncomfortable

OnjaliRauf Why did the interviewer apologise to listeners when this author told her the words that had been used to bully her it undermined what she went through and gave credence to those that bullied her -

OnjaliRauf I’m disappointed that your presenter told OnjaliRauf off for saying she had been called ‘Paki’ when talking about her childhood experiences of racism, and even apologised on her behalf. That was wrong.

OnjaliRauf I was a bit shocked that the programme was apologising for the 'P' word which was mentioned in respect to the person's direct bullying experience. I think this made her feel awkward when she was relaying a direct and shocking example of bullying and discrimination.

OnjaliRauf The BBC shouldn't have apologised on behalf of Sangita, she was stating what she was called, not being racist!

OnjaliRauf Which idiot told the presenter to apologise on behalf of her guest who used the P word in relating a lived experience? Absolutely ridiculous!

OnjaliRauf I think Onjali is entitled to say the 'P' word without being apologised for!

OnjaliRauf Why the sensitivity in retelling a lived experience? Softening the word does not lessen the pain of the memory or experience.
