Nolan was famed for starring alongside Sean Connery’s James Bond in 1964 movie Goldfinger, in which she played Dink, and fans will know her as the iconic gold-painted model who is seen dancing in the movie’s end credits.
Her appearance in the film led to her posing for Playboy magazine and giving her first interview on appearing as the Goldfinger model years later in 2012.She said: ‘It does celebrate the physical form. If I’d been nude it might have been about liberation because up to that point you wouldn’t have seen a nude woman in a publicly visible thing like that.
‘I could have been very pretentious and said this is liberating, but because i was dressed-up anyway, I didn’t get that sense.’The same year she appeared in A Hard Day’s Night – a musical comedy starring the Beatles – before going on to star in the Carry On films during the 1970s. Nolan first began her career as a model and was briefly known as Vicky Kennedy while she made her modelling debut in the ’60s, before reverting back to her birth name as she turned her attention to acting.
Other film credits of hers include The Great St Trinian’s Train Robbery in 1966, Bikini Paradise, No Sex Please, We’re British and 2011 film The Power of Three.
