Strictly's Nicola Adams and Katya Jones are the first same sex pairing as they're spotted leaving filming together

Nicola and Katya flashed huge smiles today when they left their secret filming location where their first meeting was caught on camera.

Last month Nicola revealed she would be dancing with a woman on the show but now it has been confirmed that she has been paired up with Katya.

Just why? 🤷‍♂️

I would never criticise anyone for being gay, but a same-sex pairing could prove to be commercial suicide where Strictly is concerned.

This schouldn't be news.... But strictly normal. Treating it as abnormal than it remains abnormal. Sometimes I wonder if specific homosexuals like to wallow in the role of not completely being accepted so they can play victim or remain special.

Nicola's a nice person but I imagine this will put off more viewers than it attracts, among the show's core traditionalists at least.
