Hardly surprising. We always knew it would take generations to socially assimilate and bring the east's economic infrastructure into parity
I'm not totally surprised by these demographic numbers. Former East German citizens still have firmly entrenched memories of the Cold War occupation by the Russians. The past 30 years relative to the previous 70 isn't possible to adjust in a single generation. It will take time
