The shooting happened as officers were responding to a"domestic incident," just after 5 p.m., the Kenosha Police DepartmentThe person was flown to a Milwaukee area hospital following the shooting, police said. Officers"provided immediate aid to the person," the statement said. "While we do not have all of the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country," he said.
I read an NPR article on this, and was disgusted to see the common trope employed. Quit using euphemistic phrases like “officer involved shooting.” You reduce the impact of what happened with those words. Don’t get stuck in the passive voice, “the black man was shot.”

The man was charged for multiple Domestic Violence incidents in the past. He planned to murder the women he was beating when Police arrived on the scene. As he retrieved the weapon from his car, Police shot him after the taser failed to stop the suspect. Protect Women 1st Please.
