The BatmanIn the two and a half minute trailer which debuted during DC’s FanDome virtual convention, offered fans a glimpse into the newest take on the popular franchise. The movie takes place in the early years of billionaire Bruce Wayne's career as the masked vigilante Batman.
As in previous movie iterations of the comic book, Gotham City is teeming with shady characters and criminals, even as the Riddler leaves a trail of victims and crimes addressed"to the Batman." The teaser also introduces Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle , and Andy Serkis as Alfred. According to, Director Matt Reeves had earlier said that the characters, although familiar to generations of viewers, aren't quite their iconic characters just yet. In the film, villains like The Riddler and The Penguin are still in the early stages of their criminal careers; Selina Kyle hasn't fully become Catwoman just yet.
