My USPS delivery person who is great told me that. They couldn’t staff enough for all routes so current delivery folks got paid overtime to fill those routes and always get the mail out that day. No overtime means mail can’t get delivered. Routes can’t get serviced. He lied

Technically he is correct. No “regular pay” hours were cut. OT is not considered normal hours. If he tried to cut normal hours the Union would not allow it.

Are full time workers still getting 30-40 hours a week? Cutting overtime isn’t technically cutting hours so long as they’re still getting full time hours. It is OVERTIME which is considered temporary.
