Will the fact masks are now obligatory in shops in England finally – please God – mark the end of the mask culture wars? Will this spark a political and public commitment to sane and effective public health policies? Well, yes and no. On the one hand, it’s a relief that the government has finally listened to what the World Health Organization has been saying in increasingly desperate tones since early spring.
'my mask is from Etsy and made from paisley fabric' And certified by them as ' aren't medical-grade' Covid-19 can be passed in sub-micron droplets If you want to use something that will actually work you need FFP2/N95 or it's a timewaste.
'the government has finally listened to what the World Health Organization has been saying' what does WHO re mass mask wearing, oh yes I remember, 'not yet supported by high quality or direct scientific evidence'
Sanctimonious BS The people that actually like wearing a mask (the author of this article) have a mental health condition called hypochondria. It’s not their fault, they are ill. But enough already of pushing your illness onto everybody else. Get treatment.
RhianCheckland the smize!!
There really isn’t much point in the general public wearing masks. The risk is quite small and the evidence to support it is weak. They are also horrible to wear, dehumanising and make places feel uncomfortable.
Putting it on is
Stop lying and spreading fear.
