Johnny Depp threatened to kill Amber Heard, accused her of having affairs with nine of her co-stars, and introduced rules on her sex scenes and nudity in films, a court has heard.
In her first day of evidence in Depp’s libel case against The Sun newspaper, Heard claimed that her former husband made “demeaning” comments about her aspirations as an actress and branded her “fame hungry”. During the five-hour high court hearing – where further details of the pair’s tumultuous four-year relationship surfaced – Heard accused her ex-husband of abusing her with death threats, “controlling” behaviour and extreme drug use.
