Announcing it before it is guaranteed safe isn't there best idea. Can imagine a scenario where some rich American (not naming names) or pharma, will simply but it in some way. Either from Bojo or buying the people who made it. And then patenting it.

The British Government has ordered a milluon charges of vaccine from BioNtech in Mainz and is investing in CureVac in Tübingen. Worldwide over 30 projects are working on a vaccine.
