Minister: Communications Ministry to check Al Jazeera’s licence, accreditation with Finas

Its Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said this was because among the conditions for the production of every film and documentary in the country was that the company or production involved needed to get permission from Finas. “The Information Department will look at in terms of accreditation, namely, if the international media violates the accreditation conditions, we will cancel the accreditation after getting the results of the police investigation.

Al Jazeera previously broadcast a 25-minute, 50-second documentary condemning the treatment of illegal immigrants as Malaysia implemented measures to address the spread of Covid-19.
