Sarah Paulson, Aaron Paul, Julianne Moore, Kesha and other celebrities filmed a video checking their white privilege for the #ITakeResponsibility campaign.

Get live updates from Los Angeles Times journalists as they report on protests across the U.S. after the death of George Floyd while in police custody.

The script then alludes to the killings of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson and other victims of racial violence, which have spurred“Going for a jog should not be a death sentence,” the celebrities continue. “Sleeping in your own home should not be a death sentence. Playing video games with your nephew should not be a death sentence. Shopping in a store should not be a death sentence. Business as usual should not be life-threatening.

NAACP President Derrick Johnson said in a statement: “In order for us as a nation to get to a better place, we’re going to have to adjust how we see each other and engage in open and honest conversations that might be painful at times.”“The fight for civil rights and human rights have always required a diverse coalition of partners and allies,” he added. “It is powerful when white people can speak openly about the individual and structural racism and privilege that deny others their full rights.

Now when they say”partner”...do they mean actual equal partner stuff or white people in charge again?

ITakeResponsibility is very different than ImTakingAction. Show us where you donate

'Don't forget about me today!'

You don’t have to take responsibility for anything you haven’t done. Besides there’s no outcry when Bloods and Crips kills and terrorized other African-Americans

Nice development

it’s your fault

So I guess this means they just realised racism is real. 🤔

Not white celebrity Howard Stern!!

Uh . . . HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA . . .

They should take responsibility. They and the MSM have created a world of intolerance toward white people by POC. It almost worked until they found out it was all a scam to win an election.

This may be one of those less is more moments.

Why NAACP Why

Good, apologize for creating stereotypes in the media that makes you rich and woke....

I guess then white people made him do it

If they say something they get backlash, if they don’t say anything they get backlash. Why are people always criticizing every damn thing? This was put together by NAACP. And don’t come at me. I ain’t white.

So this means they are all racist to begin with and we’re really just lying to us all the time. Trash.

News flash! White people discover racism.

Rich white folks leading the apology tour. Haha, yeah, we don't care.

This is how Hollywood “gives at the office.”
