Jersey City officials are getting the historic Loew’s Jersey Theatre ready for its next act after years of litigation and setbacks, as the state emerges from its coronavirus lockdown

The city, which owns the theater, is seeking a commercial operator to help renovate and run the 3,000-seat venue built during the 1920s. The company will work with Friends of the Loew’s, a nonprofit that has run the venue since the 1980s.
