As the mother of Dunghutti man David Dungay calls for charges to be laid over the death in custody of her son, actor Meyne Wyatt says Indigenous people are demanding justice and calls Indigenous deaths the real 'pandemic'.

"Seeing us as animals, not as people, that shit needs to stop. Black deaths in custody, that shit needs to stop".Leetona Dungay called for charges to be laid over the death of her son David in Sydney's Long Bay jail

Those words came to the fore on Q+A in a monologue from actor Meyne Wyatt but not before the mother of Dunghutti man David Dungay demanded justice for her son and called for charges to be laid over his death.Leetona Dungay said her son's final words of "I can't breathe" mirrored those of George Floyd in AmericaMr Dungay was 26 years old when he died in Sydney's Long Bay jail after allegedly being held down by correctional officers.

"David cried out 'I can't breathe' many times in the space of his last nine minutes … we know we have a long fight ahead to get justice so I am asking the panel will you join us to demand charges are laid on the people responsible for my son's death?" Wyatt then said the feeling of suffering at the hands of authority figures was a familiar story for Indigenous youth.Actor Meyne Wyatt delivered an impassioned speech on Q+A.

"We're not crying out for justice, [host] Hamish [Macdonald], we're saying: 'Don't kill us'," Lui said.Lui also called for a look into how jails are run due to the number of Indigenous deaths in custody, before Macdonald asked for her response to"So when the Prime Minister says this is a wonderful country, it's tone deaf and it's disrespectful, because Aboriginal people — all we want to do is have equality.

"Because it hasn't been an issue that has ever been raised. It's still happening right now, to this day," the actor said."These institutions are killing us. And it's just the continuation. The whole time, since 1770. It's the same thing. That's what it is."

I demand an apologie for treating my irish ancestors like slaves treating them like crimals under demeaning condishions i demand now its time to think of our country for our country, ask not what your contry can do for you but what you can do for your country ScottMorrisonMP

After the Townsville car deaths there is a clear need for responsibility by indigenous parents for the behaviour of their children. This a basic right of all children whether they are black or white.

Pack of lies.

2. Very very soon nobody will be allowed to say a single word which is not with leftists doctrines. You will be afraid to speak to your neighbour afraid of the dobing. It will not happen very soon but it will happen. Nazi took 10 years to spread ideology.

1. Lets see. Anyone on tv or press who don't agree with any of this crap, is forces to quit or apologize. Even jokes made years ago. Same at schools and universities. Your are suspended or expelled. Same at jobs environment. You can and will loose employment bec comments.

Young black lives don’t seem to matter to other “First Nations “ it would seem. How many of your children are rapped and molested by the children’s own family and extended family ?

The abuse and corruption of journalistic integrity with the ABC`s persistent hourly onslaught of indigenous propaganda is the very reason so many have simply turned the ABC off.

Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is not indigenous enough to be invited on by the ABC.

I hear that they want to put an end to Black Deaths in Custody. Well you’d think that they’d also want to end Black Deaths OUTSIDE Custody as the biggest killer and Black on Black Violence as the leading cause for high rates of incarceration!!! : Jacinta Nampijinpa Price

I turned it off ladt night for this same reason. Respect for people and their property has been forgotten. Knowing what is right and wrong behaviour has also been forgotten. If people were respectful towards each other, then handling of behaviour would be different.

just where is it that indigenous people are not getting justice in Australia? Maybe clean up your own toxic backyard where your men abuse women and children. Then get back to us..

Don’t worry , most Australians are sick of hearing about it too .

Blowing up aboriginal caves should be condemed.

Tick tick tick ....! OzDemons
