Jimmy Cobb, who most famously worked with Miles Davis, has died after a lengthy battle with lung cancer aged 91. His wife Eleana Tee Cobb told NPR that Wilbur James “Jimmy” Cobb died in his home in Manhattan on Sunday.Jimmy, the last surviving member of Miles Davis' First Great Sextet, was born in Washington, D.C. on January 20, 1929.The family had decided to care for Jimmy with a holistic approach for his medical needs.
