Sky News host Peta Credlin says the government’s $60 billion JobKeeper blunder highlights the “farce of letting so-called experts run the show” whether it be state health or treasury officials "who need a lesson in modelling”. On Friday a significant reporting error had led Treasury to dramatically revise its projections for the Morrison government's JobKeeper program.

Shadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers along with Opposition leader Anthony Albanese have strongly criticised both the prime minister and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg for the error. “It says everything about Labor, that even today, they're still up in arms, about a government program that now only has to borrow half of what they thought, rather than celebrate the fact, it means the taxpayer is $60 billion dollars better off, plus interest.

Borderline personality Labour Party ranting; “Shock horror! not acceptable, Morrison Govt over estimated what was needed” to deal with a never before coronavirus pandemic, and in the same breath Labour is ranting; “Now that we got the money, let’s splash it up against the wall”..

So, Ms Credlin - we shouldn't let 'experts' run things? They will get it wrong from time to time. Next time you need a medical procedure got to your local mechanic who has an interest in medicine...

Credibility. Zero. No one buys the paid for statements

It’s only $ 60,000,000,000.00

Modelling feedback loop. Take what you know about a situation (covid = looks bad), make a plan (big plan for big problem), see what happens (not a lot yet), adjust model, start again.... What a bizarre statement Peta? Looks like you didn’t understand modelling either.

Seems more likely that the govt erred purposefully on the high side, given the ratings agency review of our triple A rating. And the opposition to stupid to pick up the blue.

Spend the $60 billion on rebuilding the manufacturing sector. Create jobs and become less dependent imports for essential products like tyres. Invest in projects that will generate a long term Return on Investment.

So if you don't want to let experts run the show, there's always Peta Credlin.
