Complaints lodged with Broadcasting Authority of Ireland about ad branded 'offensive' on Joe Duffy's Liveline

Five complaints have been lodged with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland about an ad which was branded “offensive” on the Joe Duffy show earlier this week.

She said: “I cringe. My husband and I both are not prudes by any means. But I actually cringe. I feel like getting the remote and turning it off.” “No referrals have been registered by the BAI to date. For further details on the complaints process, please see the BAI’s website.”Simply pop your e-mail into the box at the top of this article and get all the latest news and entertainment direct to you

At its December 2019 meeting the BAI’s compliance committee considered and rejected two complaints relating to RTE’s Prime Time and The Week in Politics. One related to the word ‘shit’ being used “on two separate occasions” during a discussion about the Kardashians by Jennifer Zamparelli on 2FM.
