’s “Batwoman,” has decided to leave the television series ahead of its already announced second season.
The exact reason she is leaving remains unclear. But the show will go on: Warner Bros., the studio behind “Batwoman,” and the CW have both committed to creating a second season with a new series lead. “I have made the very difficult decision to not return to Batwoman next season,” said Rose in a statement. “This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles. I am beyond appreciative to Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Caroline Dries for not only giving me this incredible opportunity, but for welcoming me into the DC universe they have so beautifully created.
“Warner Bros. Television, The CW and Berlanti Productions thank Ruby for her contributions to the success of our first season and wish her all the best,” said Warner Bros. TV, the CW and Berlanti Productions in a joint statement.

They probably need to find someone more athletic. I don't know this for sure, but I assume that the serious injury she got doing a stunt for the show had to play some role in this.

When will TV stop shitting on the Batman Legacy. Gotham was terrible and BatwomanCW was horrific to watch. I wish HBO / WBHomeEnt would do a dark animated batman show for grown ups.

From a creative standpoint, I think we’re missing an obvious choice in AshleyScott Not to recast Kate Kane, but to bring a displaced post-Crisis Helena Wayne/Huntress into the story to continue the Wayne legacy and assume the mantle of Batwoman. Plus, RachieSkarsten reunion.

I really enjoyed the show. It's a shame because I enjoyed Ruby's performance as Batwoman. It'll be interesting to see how they work this one out.

the writing was on the wall since it was first published that ruby would take it due to the backlash she had recieved- its sad that in 2020 ACTORS face backlash from critics/fans on roles they take due to their private lifes choices
