THEY'RE one of Instagram's hottest home trends - but as much as we'd love to have a bespoke window seat in our homes, they can cost a small fortune to install.
, Courtney Gallears revealed how she made her own window seat with wooden pallets and a cot mattress.Sharing photos of the process, she then secured her leftover pallets to the front for support. After this, she placed a large piece of plywood to the top of the frame - which can be removed and offers storage space underneath.
Courtney told Fabulous Digital: "For the top I used 15m ply board cut to size, then used a cot mattress cut to the size of the board, then used a bed sheet to cover the mattress and stapled it to the board."She wrote: "The window seat is complete! This cost me £30 for a cot mattress and the paint."Unsurprisingly, the home transformation has gone down a storm with the group's 1.7m members.
Stunningly dull
Truly stunning. I actually could not believe it. Must be fake news.
