stipulate that a show has to be either officially canceled or have new dates announced in order for the purchaser to be eligible for refunds.
"I've got tickets to Russ, Halsey, [Green Day, Weezer and Fallout Boy's] Hella Mega Tour, Journey with the Pretenders," she lists off the top of her head.Since none of those shows have been canceled or rescheduled, she's ineligible for a refund. And Cronin bought pairs of tickets to each concert, which means she's out nearly $1000. She says she's thankful she's still employed.
So they sold a product, spent the money, then did not deliver the product? Sounds legit...
Slimy corps gonna be slimy, don'tcha know.
Gotta get this right as I’m holding lots of tickets (they have my money) and no dates provided. I want and need my $$$ back! Sure I’m not alone!
All the disgust in the world toward Ticketmaster will not stop a group of middle aged, leathery-tan skinned, cowboy hat wearing, beer drinking women from blindly utilizing their service for their next coyote ugly girls night out.
I have tickets to several shows (all Ticketmaster) and none of them have been cancelled yet. The one in June (Steely Dan) is in a venue that is now being used for Covid patients. These people would screw over their grandmother to make a buck.
They can’t change the rules after the fact!!
It’s pretty much bullshit!
Dirty style.
Ah yes ticket-scammer, a major reason I've stopped going to venues due to their extortion fees.
Ticketmaster has been trash for years. Yet no one blames their favorite multimillionaire artists for cancelling the shows and still pocketing the cash. They likely got more of your money than Ticketmaster did.
The most universally-hated company.. the Monsanto of the concert industry
Ticketmaster is a shitty company who only cares about profits and doesn't care about safety or their general image.... Shocker.... Wait, no, that's actually how they've always been
I hope ticketmasket and the likes crumble under this pandemic. Artists need to manage their ticket sales better. No more inconvenience fees!
I hate Ticketmaster
Yes bc like most other huge corporations in USA they make their own rules. The last two shows i went to (neildegrassetyson, bookofmormon) tickets were 200% over face value. I thought this was illegal no?
These companies suck; don’t support artists who use their ticketing platform
wait, but will we get that sweet convenience fee of $14.99 on $35 dollar tickets back as well?
If you take someone's money for a service and then don't provide it, you have to give the money back. If you don't, you are a crook. I'll bet the EU consumer protection laws don't allow them to keep it.
It’s important to keep the “who’s doing what “ in mind. For shows where Ticketmaster only functions as a ticketing provider they likely don’t have the power to issue refunds, since that money belongs to the promoter or venue. For LN shows it gets murkier, of course.
A corporation scamming customers? Well, I never! ticketmastersucks
Early on Ticketmaster was evasive and purposely made it impossible to contact them for refunds. I just gave up. I’ll never use them again. Ticketmaster dishonest
I would consider it payment for the lesson of never using them for tickets again.
Can you imagine risking your life to see Weezer?
.. yeah, that's called FRAUD.
