Lord of the Rings star Bruce Allpress dies aged 89

LORD of the Rings star Bruce Allpress has died aged 89 surrounded by his heartbroken family.

The New Zealand actor played Aldor in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and had a role in The Scarecrow starring Al Pacino.In a moving statement, his family said his "love" for the performing arts was inspired by his mum, who took him to amateur theatre productions as a child.
