Seinfeld and Star Trek actor Gene Dynarski dies at 86

The actor was best known for starring in Seinfeld and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.Gene died on February 27 at a rehabilitation centre in Studio City, playwright Ernest Kearney has announced.

Gene appeared in Star Trek twice, as miner Ben Childress in the 1966 episode Mudd's Women and as Krodak, a representative of a city up for Federation membership in 1969 episode The Mark of Gideon. He appeared in a string of movies, including Earthquake, Airport and All the President's Men, as well as many more TV shows, such as The A-Team, Starsky and Hutch and Hill Street Blues.
