Comedian Russell Brand has CANCELLED his concert tonight at the Perth Concert Hall. 9News

"I am not happy with risk for me or for any of you. My apologies, I hope I see you soon," he tweeted to his 11.5 million followers.

The announcement comes after the WA Health Department confirmed on Sunday a woman tested positive to COVID-19 after travelling on Qantas flight QF10 from London, arriving in Perth last Thursday.testing positive to the virusThree hours before Brand tweeted about the cancellation, Perth Concert Hall posted a statement to Facebook about upcoming events at the venue reassuring the public the venue was safe to attend.

"The venue has been fully cleaned in line with Government guidelines, and all performances are proceeding as scheduled."
