Gender violence in Mexico is so normalized that feminist activists get attacked for speaking up against the daily rapping and killing of women. This macho culture has created rivers of blood and people still feel sorry for the monuments being vandalized by the victims’ families.

Unfortunately, vandalism of historical monuments only taints the movement and doesn't help at all. It's a bad strategy.

Femicide isn't a real word.
