Even the poor can look pretty: Syifa Melvin puts her foot in her mouth

An old video of Syifa, which recently resurfaced on Twitter, shows her demonstrating to her followers how to wear a turban, with the assistance of a friend. The 26-year-old was promoting the red fabric being wrapped around her head.

“There are plenty of colours , and they are so pretty and look expensive and you would automatically look luxurious, even if you come from the squatters, or the PPRT,” said Syida, eliciting a laugh from her friend.The footage was quickly deleted from Instagram – but it was too late for Syifa, as she was struck by a tsunami of angry comments.
