nose rings? This season it's all about the triple shirt according to Tisci's latest Burberry collection. For AW20, Tisci offered a vast array of clothes across both genders, but more importantly, he catered to the many new clients of Burberry like the hypebeast, the chic it-girls and the red carpet clients to name a few.
For AW20, Tisci opted for a muted palette primarily consisting of beige, black and white, however, it was Tisci’s interpretation of the iconic Burberry checks that stood out this season. On the runway, the models wore recontextualised Burberry classics like the trench coat, the rugby shirt and heaps of check-printed garments.
What stood out the most in the collection is how well Tisci is able to combine sophistication like seen in the chainmail dresses, next to something as rugged as a deconstructed rugby shirt in mustard yellow and oxblood. As fur-appliqued trench coats and tailoring danced down the runway to the sounds of Arca, Katia and Marielle Labèque it became clear - Burberry is officially a brand for everyone, no matter how old, bold or young you are.
