The Masked Singer’s producers have gone to extreme lengths to ensure the identity of the secret celebrities isn’t unveiled until the scenes of them taking of their extravagant mask is aired on TV.
As an industry insider who worked as a warm-up man on the popular ITV show has revealed the audience are asked to leave before the celebrities are unmasked. “I said: ‘Right, so the audience that have been here for three and a half hours for the record are leaving and they don’t get to see it?’“‘Shouldn’t that be a producer’s job?’ ‘Yes, but we think the audience might get a little bit upset so that’s your job now.’ You think: ‘Hold up, now I’m a UN peacekeeper.’”
