In everything he does, designer Christian Siriano pushes the boundaries in fashion and beauty, advocating for an inclusive future and starting conversations necessary to move the needle forward. So when it came time to decide who would be the face of his new fragrance, Midnight Silhouette, it only made sense to choose someone who aligned perfectly with Siriano’s powerful work and voice.
“We all talk so much about celebrating diversity and all these different types of women, and I felt like we're actually not really seeing it,” Siriano tellsexclusively, of choosing Purser as his star. “I really wanted to show her and how beautiful she is — her skin, her freckles. I wanted people and young girls to be like, ‘Oh, I can look like her and represent a brand.’”
Last season Purser flew to Paris Fashion Week to see Siriano’s collection, then they shot the campaign a few hours later. For the shoot, Siriano designed a spectacular gown: “I wanted this kind of sparkling silhouette of a gown that had luster and catches the light,” he explains. “I also wanted to showcase her amazing, beautiful figure. That was very important — to make sure that she still felt almost regal.
