The slowdown in Britain’s productivity growth over the last decade is the worst since the start of the Industrial Revolution 250 years ago, a dismal track record that is holding back gains in living standards across the country.
We have good talented and hard-working staff but untrained and useless management in the UK Add to this the continued nepotism where family members & friends are dropped into positions they are unqualified and unfit to occupy

I remember the 1970s when all respectable experts agreed that the main reason for the UK’s poor productivity was “too powerful trade unions.” Maybe not then.
Best thing for higher wages is to move into an area with high demand, low supply. Then get multiple job offers concurrently and play them off against each other.
