Zuraida is a staunch supporter of deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, and the show-cause letter is seen by Team Azmin supporters as an unwarranted attack against Zuraida.
The dinner was organised by Azmin after those aligned to his faction did not turn up on the final day of the party’s national congress in Melaka. Earlier, PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that Zuraida had 14 days from Friday to respond to the letter. “The PKR divisions and branches also asked that Zuraida be sacked. We ask the disciplinary committee to consider sacking her based on the demands by the grassroots.
“She has to be cured of her arrogance and must be brought down. She has never attended any of the 13 central leadership council meetings, ” said Pahang PKR chief Fuziah Salleh.
