He played one in The Ladykillers.

He doesn’t need to prove anything. And he’s gone villainous before.

He was great in The Circle, which was kind of a villain, so I expect nothing less than perfection from America's Dad.

I remember going to see Road to Perdition for precisely this reason, and being so disappointed that they made him a conflicted man who spends most of the movie worrying about his young son.

For me, Hanks just doesn't have the edge and the range to totally overcome his nice guy persona. That's why he doesn't really do it for me on the big screen. He seems like a wonderful man, but lacks sexiness and compelling screen presence. But again, he seems so nice.

He was a right bastard in Bosom Buddies.

His twitter account is super creepy. Shadows and lost shoes and gloves. I don’t get it.

Road to Perdition is one of his finest performances.

This is CLOUD ATLAS erasure.
