Pic: Northwestern UniversityAn artificial intelligence programme has been developed that outperforms clinical experts in detecting breast cancer in mammograms, according to researchers.

The programme was developed in collaboration with DeepMind, Cancer Research UK Imperial Centre, Northwestern University and Royal Surrey County Hospital.

That's very nice, but I'm afraid that an AI program will be developed that outperforms military experts in deciding if a country should be attacked... and actually carry on the attack... maybe a nuclear one... That will be the end of the world...

Here come the machines!

I think I'd rather they put some effort into a more accurate form of breast screening that wasn't total agony tbh.
