According to records of their public engagements compiled by the British Press Association, the royals work only a third as often as the average Briton.

Queen Elizabeth II's only daughter, Princess Anne, has been named the hardest-working British royal for at least the third year in a row, putting in a total of 167 days in 2019.

However, some royal family members carry out private engagements that support their public work, which may not be included in this list.
