Earlier in the day, he had filmed a scene for his upcoming thriller Vanguard when trouble struck.

The veteran action star has suffered many scares on film sets during his career, getting nasty knocks, for example, when leaping from one building to another or hanging from a helicopter, as he tries to ramp up the fear factor in his movies. At the press conference, Tong, who worked with Chan in Police Story 3: Super Cop , CZ12 and Kung Fu Yoga , said the incident explains why the actor is a global star.But the actor brushes off the praise, telling the media:"I don't want to let the audience down."
