Some 26.4 million Netflix subscribers around the world watched the Martin Scorsese movie “The Irishman” in its first week on the streaming service, Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said.
That is a little more than half the number of Netflix subscribers who watched the streaming giant’s most successful original film, last year’s “Bird Box,” in a similar period.

billpostmus Was very disappointed in this movie. Didn't have the same impact of mob movies like The Godfather or Good Fellas. It seemed like a bunch of aging actors trying to recapture past magic. The sense of period was ruined by the perfectly shined and polished cars, lack of extras etc.

This should have been a 4 or 5 part miniseries, having them released 1 episode a week, because so much of it was build-up- too much to watch in 1 sitting. Netflix doesn't like doing that for some reason
